The only time when tapping your feet aggressively while performing is acceptable😂. I once got complaints from downstairs neighbors practicing this piece at home!!![]()
Here's a cool piece I love playing- John Corigliano's STOMP, which requires the soloist to tune down the open strings, perform a piece modeled after the bluegrass/jazz style, as well as stomp along in the music with their foot! ![]()
And here's a fun fact: the composer’s father, John Paul Corigliano Sr., was the concertmaster of New York Philharmonic from 1943-1966 and he introduced the Delius Violin Concerto to the U.S! He was the first violinist born and bred in the U.S to serve as concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic‐Symphony Orchestra, as it was known then.![]()
